Civil engineers are responsible for so much of our reality.
This is a career that specialises in public works, including roads, bridges, water, sewage and irrigation structures, car parks, recreational facilities, and much more.
Melbourne Polytechnic offers a comprehensive range of courses and subjects on the design and construction of public works. Our civil engineering students learn civil construction processes, surveying, computer-aided drafting (CAD) skills, technical drawing, force systems and fabrication techniques, and analysing environmental issues.
With a focus on engineering drafting skills, graduates will learn the skills needed to create and improve the world around us.
