Executive Director of Commercial, Sustainability and Infrastructure

Gabriel Torres joined Melbourne Polytechnic in 2018 as Executive Director of Commercial, Sustainability and Infrastructure

Gabriel is responsible for Melbourne Polytechnic’s Infrastructure and assets, leading all capital development, the development of Precincts and Melbourne Polytechnic’s environmental sustainability.

Gabriel previously worked in the Victorian Department of Education and Training responsible for TAFE and Higher Education infrastructure (campus reopening, asset management, capital works, asset development and repurposing). Before this, Gabriel held a number of managerial and leadership positions across the early childhood and schools portfolios and worked for several years as a commercial and infrastructure lawyer.

Gabriel has an Executive Masters in Public Administration from the Australia and New Zealand School of Government.
